Why does accurate ballistic and terminal performance count?
The goal of successful long-range accuracy is to ensure that the bullet to stays above supersonic speed for a longer time. When the bullet speed slows down, the transonic airflow and other variables start to get unstable.
At transonic speed the Bernoulli Principle has a bigger effect on the bullet and influences the accuracy of the bullet’s flight.
Consistency of controllable variables equates to accuracy. The more consistently a bullet performs, the easier it is to achieve accuracy.
Importantly, when a bullet is turned on a quality CNC lathe your result is a more consistent end-product. This means that you can control the dimensional and weight tolerances to a very high level.
